News at our Venues
As part of a series of efforts to enhance the Alliant Energy Center campus, the Exhibition Hall has completed updates including a new sound system and upgraded Wi-Fi, which will provide more reliable, faster speed and bandwidth throughout the hall. In the Coliseum, a reduction curtain has been added which will allow the facility to lower open capacity for more groups targeting around 3,000 attendees.
In June, the Dane County Regional Airport debuted a Pet Therapy Program, placing Madison among major airports nationwide that offer stress-reduction programs for passengers. Learn more about Pierre the poodle and all of the amenities at our airport.
Monona Terrace has completed its Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) recertification process for 2015 and 2016. As part of the process, the facility purchased Green Energy to offset 100% of its electric power consumption, and Carbon Offsets to cover 100% of carbon emissions from alternate energy sources.
