Fantastic Facilities

We’re proud to host convention events in Madison, where we have state-of-the-art venues for meetings and tons of walkable fun for your free time. But don’t just take our word for it—read on to learn more about recent industry honors and renovations at just a few of our facilities.

New Holland Pavilions. These state-of-the-art, multi-use pavilions span 290,000 square feet and have made Alliant Energy Center an industry leader in agricultural shows. In April, the pavilions were recognized in the “Best Large Project” category in the In Business 2015 Commercial Design Awards. As one judge noted, the New Holland Pavilions are “a celebration of industry and agriculture.”

Dane County Regional Airport. The airfield maintenance facility was awarded LEED Gold Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council. The 58,000-square-foot building is now one of the largest in the region to attain LEED Gold for its continuous commitment to sustainable operations, which include: a rooftop solar array; geothermal heating and cooling; rooftop skylights; and a zero waste to landfill project.

Graduate Madison Hotel. This newly opened property offers a rustic retreat to guests and offers amenities including mad-for-plaid décor, a lobby bistro, a rooftop lounge and restaurant, and is conveniently located on the edge of the UW-Madison campus. It’s pet-friendly, too!

Madison Concourse Hotel & Governor’s Club. Madison’s largest convention hotel is located in the heart of downtown near the Capitol and just steps away from State Street. The hotel’s recent $10 million capital improvement project included updates to guest rooms, the fitness center, the lobby and restaurant, plus the addition of a Starbucks in the lobby.

This year, the Convention Industry Council developed a white paper and toolkit to tackle this exact issue from the perspective of event organizers, hotels, destination marketing organizations and more.
